How to install small terrace elements that remain after cutting? For example, small pieces of pavers or boards?

The design of a terrace or balcony often has an irregular shape due to individual architectural projects. It is important to be aware that any non-standard shapes significantly complicate the implementation of the terrace, not only in the case of ventilated terrace systems but also when installed in a traditional way using adhesive.

If pavers are laid on the terrace and a so-called cut-off piece, resulting in a small element, remains, which cannot be supported by a minimum of three pedestals due to its size, an individual installation should be performed.

Cut-off pieces smaller than 25 cm have reduced strength. Before starting the work of laying pavers on a ventilated terrace, we recommend measuring the pavers. If the measurements indicate that the cut pieces will be less than 25 cm, we recommend making cut-off pieces at the beginning of the terrace as well to avoid using such small pieces.

Individual installation of an element for a terrace with pavers:

A stainless steel sheet should be placed next to the small cut-off piece, cut in a way that it covers the area where the cut piece is to be placed. The cut-off piece should be glued into place, maintaining a gap between the pavers, similar to the gaps throughout the terrace.
