When setting the terrace pedestals on top of a waterproofing membrane, it is advisable to consider additional protection in the form of a separating element between the pedestal base and the substrate. Our pedestals are designed with specially rounded edges to prevent damage to the waterproofing layer. Although some of our customers have installed the pedestals directly on the waterproofing membrane without additional protection, we recommend using protective pads made of SBR granules under the pedestals, if possible. Protective pads made of other materials can also be used as long as they effectively protect the membrane from damage.
