Most often, there is no need for additional waterproofing on the roof surface, because the roof is already protected against weather conditions such as snow, rainwater. It should be remembered that the roof layers must be sufficiently rigid and stable.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The surface can be lined with heat-sealable roofing felt, which is a waterproofing layer. It can also be a concrete screed or just enough rigid layers of styrodur.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the styrodur is too soft, there is a risk of damage. Also terrace settlement, collapsing adjustable pedestals or lack of stability of the whole structure.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, you can set paving tiles on the roof to harden the surface and distribute the point pressure that the plastic pedestals generates over a larger surface.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also lay a non-woven geotextile on the ground, which, like the foundations, performs a protective function and additionally makes all small debris stop on it and do not clog the drain pipes draining the roof terrace.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installation of terrace cladding is very simple. <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What material do you want to make your ventilated roof terrace?<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Do you want it to be wooden?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or maybe from composite boards?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or ceramic tiles?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the decision has already been made, that's great.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can proceed to the next stage: proper assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need to measure the height of your final deck to know what pedestals heights you will need.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Then spread the brackets at the appropriate distances that generate either boards or strength of the boards and joists used.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We usually support the ceramic tiles in the corners, and when they are of oversize dimensions, the pedestals should be placed at strategic points of the tiles.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joists, however, are usually supported every max ~ 50 cm. This is due to the bending strength of the wood, i.e. the pressure exerted in this case from above.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the assembly is in progress, you can already see the outlines of these beautiful surfaces on which we will spend carefree moments in a moment. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we may have a few more assembly surprises. A common problem on roof terraces are steel planks extending their surface onto the terrace area. They are an indispensable element of the roof finishing of the building, they protect against leakage and we know how important it is. Therefore they must remain. Under no circumstances can they be dismantled.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Railings are an equally necessary element on the roof terrace. They keep us safe. Thanks to them and their stable assembly, we can be sure that we will not fall outside the building. And they also have to be anchored to something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it is anchored firmly enough that we can be sure that they will provide all of us as users with the appropriate level of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we do not want to see the flings and anchors above. For what? After all, these are not aesthetic elements.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the adjustable pedestals, we can easily cover \/ mask them. It is only a matter of choosing the right height of the adjustable pedestals as well as their subsequent assembly. For the terrace to be stable, the terrace adjustable pedestals must also be placed steadily on these often uneven elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
